Based on your anger,
You overreached, destroying
Something important
Blast from the Past:
Anger is acid
Eating you from the inside
‘Til you let it out.
The Cracked Door – Daily Haikus
Reflections on life, the world, and society. Come explore with me.

Based on your anger,
You overreached, destroying
Something important
Blast from the Past:
Anger is acid
Eating you from the inside
‘Til you let it out.

I won the battle
To discover it does mean
More than the whole war
Blast from the Past:
Even though it is
Often full of strife, at
Least I have a life.

Our entire day
Channeled through the pulsations
Of the clicking clock
Blast from the Past:
Release your desires,
A drop in the bucket of
Human endeavor

The waterfall’s top
With its torrents of water
Still teems with turtles
Blast from the past:
The lone seagull fades
Into the vast thundercloud’s
Forceful harmony

Life’s just one more day
Then another “one more day”
After another
Blast from the Past:
Ties and collared shirts
Washed onto the shore in the tide,
In and out each day

To watch universes
Like a child looks upon ants
Scurrying about
Blast from the past:
The dawn unfolding,
The sky wears a new garment,
Splendid summer dress

On top of the hill
Stands a single barren tree
Beckoning forth life
Blast from the Past:
I buried my hope
At the edge of the wasteland:
Seeds for my return
