I wander through these
Fugitive worlds. My face my
Only companion.
Blast from the past:
Hunger for beyond
Do not choose this illusion
Freedom is the key
The Cracked Door – Daily Haikus
Reflections on life, the world, and society. Come explore with me.

I wander through these
Fugitive worlds. My face my
Only companion.
Blast from the past:
Hunger for beyond
Do not choose this illusion
Freedom is the key

Exhausted, going
Through the motions of life like
I had energy
Blast from the past:
In the search for wonder
There are no endings
Only beginnings,
Eternal exhaustion

The mountain glistens
As the stream through the moss sings,
Asking me to leave this world
Blast from the Past:
To the misery
That is endured by those
Who refuse settling.

Not all who wander
Are lost, but some wanderers
Decide to stay put.
Blast from the past:
Should I work to fix
My pigeon-toed walk to God?
I’m best on my knees

I crawl back into
That space of
Unfamiliarity.
Blast from the past:
Earth, how big you are,
And how small we humans are
In comparison?

I closed my suitcase,
Finally twisting it shut.
Now my arm twists
Blast from my past:
But if I am so
Different from these poets,
How can they move me?

I continue to
Walk into myself through the
Coming yesterday
Blast from the Past:
Anger is acid
Eating you from the inside
‘Til you let it out.

I walk toward
My self, with stars behind the
Coming tomorrow.
Blast from the past:
This one is a program written in the programming language Python
import random.randrange as spin_the_wheel
potential_days = [‘slug day’, ‘chug day’, ‘hug day’, ‘shrug day’, ‘snug day’]
def which_day_will_it_be(potential_days):
return spin_the_wheel(potential_days)today = which_day_will_it_be(potential_days)

Greed is an illness
Anyone can drink from its
Degeneracy
Blast from the past:
The more I travel
The more I long for place
Ebbing waves return home

I’ve missed this city
Always a next place to see,
Endless traveling
(Written after going home after a trip.)
Blast from the past:
This carefree world,
This world of idleness,
It belongs to us.
