Enough to contain
All of my dreams?

Is my life big
Enough to contain
All of my dreams?
Context (if you’re interested):
This is one of the biggest struggles in my life. I have so many passions and so much I want to see in the world.

I have two versions of my poem for today
You aren’t the one who
Decides you are too small for
This enormous love
An alternative version of today’s poem:
What made you want to
Decide you were too small for
This enormous love?

Let’s fall in love
Like we never loved before
Nor learned not to do so ever again
Context (if you’re interested):
It is based on “y / n” in “You Are Here” by Dawn Lanuza.

It’s without twists and turns
That I approach
Meeting you
Context (if you’re interested):
The idea of this poem just popped into my head one night.

No new city,
No new climate
Can calm the storm
Inside your headDoes it matter if
The others are kind
To you as a stranger
If you can’t be kind
To yourself?
Context (if you’re interested):
This poem is based on “the tourist” in “You Are Here” by Dawn Lanuza.

I thrust my phone through
The throngs of tourists to take
My selfie alone
Context (if you’re interested):
This haiku is based on this Japanese haiku:
From the window of the departing train,
I first thrust my head out,
so as not to lose.

The river rushes into the sea.
When will it ever return?
Why do we too expect
Our money to invest back to us?
Context (if you’re interested):
This is based on a poem by Lia Bai. I was thinking about how the flow of money in society is like a river. It flows in an endless cycle, congregating in certain places and leaving others dry.
