Possibility
Inevitability
CulpabilityBlast from the past:
Concrete impressions
Fade into utter darkness
That I walk into

9/24/24 Haiku for the Day

Today’s daily haiku is a two-parter.
Reflections from an Airplane
Patches of green
Is what all human endeavor
Reduces from afarBroken by protrusions
Of mountains disrupting the mold
Of man’s planned systems
Blast from the Past
The bad roads only
Lead to lost roads, winding through
The thick wilderness.
9/23/24 Haiku for the Day

Ants along the wall
Ants flying throughout the air
Ant bites itch my skin.
Blast from the past:
Ants are in my pants.
I need to get these stupid
Ants out of my pants.
9/22/24 Haiku for the Day

We were unprepared for
The landing that suspended
Us above our heads.
Blast from the past:
I feel like we are
On the same page but reading
Two different books.
9/21/24 Haiku for the Day

Mice beneath mammoths:
Violence of liberation,
Shadow of justice
Blast from the past:
Gold coast and its slum:
Children of circumstances,
Nowhere to be home.
9/20/24 Haiku for the Day

No close relationships
Just move on to a new place
No embarrassment
Blast from the past:
New York City can
Motivate, tire, pull, repulse,
Take, and restore.
9/19/24 Haiku for the Day

What makes harmony
In my mind? Is it nature,
Or my own doing?
Blast from the Past:
Blessed are those who
Must hold their pee, for they shall
Attain fulfilledness.
9/18/24 Haiku for the Day

Driving the fast lane
You’re dancing in lock step with death
Inviting him in
Blast from the Past:
Life is a highway
Under construction, where no
One is letting you merge.
9/17/24 Haiku for the Day

We walk together
As the sun rises. By nine,
Our glow left with you
Blast from the Past:
I come from left field
Where the great ideas are.
Come join me and see.
9/16/24 Haiku for the Day

Your cry never ends!
Even the blades of grass will
Remember your sound
Blast from the Past:
Every piled up
Tomorrow will become an
Empty yesterday.
