The black swan
Curled up like a snake
Over her nest
Blast from the Past:
Regular insects
Transforming at night into
Dazzling fireflies
The Cracked Door – Daily Haikus
Reflections on life, the world, and society. Come explore with me.

The black swan
Curled up like a snake
Over her nest
Blast from the Past:
Regular insects
Transforming at night into
Dazzling fireflies

My eyes awake, and
My mind learns that no recent
Thought made any sense
Blast from the Past:
To sleep and then to dream
Venture beyond the world of
Possibilities

A sure way to
Never hate someone again
Is to see them die
Blast from the Past:
Disorder will leave
A lasting mark on some lives.
Remove what you hate.

The rushing river
Brings the constant churn of rain
Back to the ocean
Blast from the Past:
Climbing a mountain
Water trickles to its source,
Going back in time

Hello to radiant
You could be solowaving
Get your FYP
Blast from the Past:
Using what no one
Can possess to acquire what
No one ought to own

May my words to you
Linger as a breath of fresh
Fire to burn your soul
Blast from the Past:
I stand within the
Smoke clouds left over by your
Chariot of fire

Hiked through one landscape
And then another landscape
So many landscapes
Blast from the Past:
The wild fire
Coursing through me sends me off
In all directions
If only I knew
Which path to follow

Writing our kisses
Upon the cleft of the earth
Footprints in the sand
Blast from the Past:
We come together
When morning and evening
Embrace one ‘nother

Considering the
Strange world we live in, why choose
To stay in one place?
Blast from the Past:
When your heart’s afar,
It’s just gone to a new place
Where you should join too.

Don’t connect my thoughts
With my actions. You never
Know what I can think.
Blast from the Past:
All these thoughts flow through
My head like water crashing
Into a river
