I can still think of
All emotions that have died
My soul is impatient
Blast from the Past:
Emotional case
But I can’t talk about it
A weight inside me
The Cracked Door – Daily Haikus
Reflections on life, the world, and society. Come explore with me.

I can still think of
All emotions that have died
My soul is impatient
Blast from the Past:
Emotional case
But I can’t talk about it
A weight inside me

Gunk now fills both eyes
My throbbing throat can’t swallow
Puss ooze from my scabs
I’m sick today.
Blast from the Past:
Not only are we
On the same boat, but we’re all
Seasick together.

Exist to produce
Collected from ruins of dreams
Emptiness of things
Blast from the Past:
Beneath the race to
Meet, organize, and produce
Lies oblivion.

Ascending slowly
The sun rises gracefully
Over the ocean
Blast from the Past:
After the dew fades,
All that is leftover is
Glorious sunlight

Depths of a small truth
Universal destiny
The midland order
Blast from the Past:
What form should I take?
None of these do me justice
Shadows of my truth

When you’re the one who
Pulled the trigger, you’re left to
Second guess your gun.
Blast from the Past:
Walking in mistakes
Building and then rebuilding
It’s time to call it

Shipwreck out at sea
A relic of social decay
Now a world for fish
Blast from the Past:
It is painful to
Think all the progress we’ve made
Might one day recede

All dogs want from you
Is for you to be
A new friend
(And maybe just a little of your food.)
Blast from the Past:
A pine tree sways
In the wind to the beat of
Your strokes of my beard.

The twilight coolness
The lofty sky’s flawed and dead
My soul’s solitude
Blast from the Past:
Pulsating through space,
The glory still radiates
From the long dead star

I amuse myself
With my country, toying with
Its quaint history
Blast from the Past:
What are our lives here?
But a burst dissipating
Into history
