Performing innovative work
Just forgot to have it help anybody
Blast from the Past:
Will anyone read what I wrote?
Anyone who reads it
Will see it as a new piece
From what I put into it,
Including a future me.

Performing innovative work
Just forgot to have it help anybody
Blast from the Past:
Will anyone read what I wrote?
Anyone who reads it
Will see it as a new piece
From what I put into it,
Including a future me.

Wounded, sad, angry,
Unheard, dismissed, ignored,
Mourning, yet resolved
Blast from the Past:
Favored yet confined
Peaceful yet surrendering
Hopeful yet watchful

There isn’t a reason
To hate me the way you do.
Just punch it out now.
Blast from the Past:
When a bear attacks
A wolverine, it’s often
The bear that gets hurt

I lost track of your
Bright golden star underneath
My clouds of ink.
Blast from the Past:
Love to hate? Or was
It hate to love? Given
Conflicting interests

May you ascend
One beat after the other
Into your beauty
Blast from the Past:
As the world now comes
Into existence, may you
Find tranquility

After you left,
I returned sleep in our bed
And it smelled like you
Blast from the past:
I know there must be
Different worlds, for yours can’t
Make sense within mine

My poem is not a haiku like I normally do.
My barren soul forms
Into all these dead leaves
On days like these,
I am the one
Who feels to blame
For the fall.
A blast from the past:
One lines, two lines, three
Lines, four lines, five lines, six lines
Now I can enter

Based on your anger,
You overreached, destroying
Something important
Blast from the Past:
Anger is acid
Eating you from the inside
‘Til you let it out.

Our love was without
Limits, just as limitless
As was our carnage
Blast from the Past:
I wanted to be
An astronaut, but instead
I became a teen.

We were unprepared for
The landing that suspended
Us above our heads.
Blast from the past:
I feel like we are
On the same page but reading
Two different books.
