Dinner exploding
In my gut
I wake
Cramping
Blast from the Past:
I think I am now
Ready for sleep to find me
Finally

Poems about the rhythms of daily life

Dinner exploding
In my gut
I wake
Cramping
Blast from the Past:
I think I am now
Ready for sleep to find me
Finally

After a long week,
I can finally take a
Moment for myself
Blast from the Past:
The gentle cool breeze
And no new information
A relaxed mind

Inscrutable hours
This morning now emerging
Inexplicable boredom
Blast from the Past:
It’s great to feel
Useless. Nothing like boredom
For your subconscious.

Soft hands and warm oil
Stretch, relax, and moisturize,
Getting a massage
Blast from the Past:
Sometimes you must learn
To gently calm down. Take time
To relax and heal.

Oh, spring renewal
A time to fix old mistakes
By making new ones
Blast from the Past:
A spring sky so clear
That you feel you are seeing
Into tomorrow.

My joints shoot in pain
As I lay down and slowly
Loose my consciousness
Blast from the Past:

Blazing through the storm
Jogging unable to see
Feeling fantastic

I can’t sit still, yet
I feel agitated when
I go do something
Blast from the Past:
Excitement surrounds
In this amazing place, and all
I want is to sleep

Made my resolutions.
Now is the time to go hard
And fail at each one
Blast from the Past:
New revolution
In our random time cycle,
Supposed new me

It is New Years now
I sit here with my girlfriend
I think I’m happy
Blast from the Past:
New Years rolls around.
What is the first thing I do?
Proceed straight to bed.

Sit in a meeting
Solving random math problems:
The puzzle instinct
Blast from the Past:
Stuck here in a meeting
Only my dreams will wonder
These vivacious streets
