When my disquiet
Constricts my own revival,
Drive a stake through it
Blast from the past:
Try. Fail. Try again.
As long as you’re converging
Defeats are data
The Cracked Door – Daily Haikus
Reflections on life, the world, and society. Come explore with me.

When my disquiet
Constricts my own revival,
Drive a stake through it
Blast from the past:
Try. Fail. Try again.
As long as you’re converging
Defeats are data

The youth who tried to
Snatch the moon plummeted with
A star in her grasp
Blast from the past:
Inspiration waits
It never seems to find me
So I guess I’ll wait

No one cares about
Patching up ruined lives when
They are wandering.
Blast from the past:
Life remains easy
For the person who lives with
No sense of shame

We can control it,
At least enough to profit.
Release the kraken!
Blast from the past:
The crowd flocks to the
Marketplace to buy what sells.
Who is feeding who?

Blessings and curses
Fade away. All you have left
Is you resilience
Blast from the past:
The possible does
Not concern me. Let it bring
Joy or pain

Sand, mountains, volcanoes
I see new landscapes until
They become the familiar
Wall paper of my life
Blast from the past:
My own universe
Is not trapped there on a shelf
Gathering stardust

Climbing up and up
Just to have to go back down
The wave of living
Blast from the past:
I invite the wind
Because in it I know I’ll
Find actual life

After finally
Catching you here in my trap,
Why do I feel bad?
Blast from the past:
Your own destruction
Is the result of trying
To defeat others

select love
from him
join her
on child
where
womb is null
(I wrote my poem for today in the programming language SQL.)
Blast from the past:
There is nothing one
Can give that is friendlier
Than one’s very tears.

Looking down the edge
For a foothold that won’t slide
As the world spins round
Blast from the past:
Don’t climb those distant
Mountains. Just turn your molehills
Into thrilling quests.
