How the earth becomes
Infinite in all of its
Endless finitude
Blast from the Past:
The waters flowing
Into the place out of which
It originates
The Cracked Door – Daily Haikus
Reflections on life, the world, and society. Come explore with me.
How the earth becomes
Infinite in all of its
Endless finitude
Blast from the Past:
The waters flowing
Into the place out of which
It originates
Comradery
Performing innovative work
Just forgot to have it help anybody
Blast from the Past:
Will anyone read what I wrote?
Anyone who reads it
Will see it as a new piece
From what I put into it,
Including a future me.
Thunder questioning
The stones, arraigning the sky
Calling to judgment
Blast from the Past:
Maybe our stars are
Genuflecting to us for
Propping them above
I approach an abyss
That I am afraid
To learn I’ve been inside all along
Blast from the Past:
When you stare into
The abyss, are you really the
Monster staring back?
And now it is time
For sleep to come remove me
From this world
Blast from the Past:
Rain on my rooftop,
A thousand pearls spilling out
Beckoning me to sleep
Pampered Sisyphus
Resting on top of mountain
Fleeting peacefulness
Blast from the Past:
We construct, but
Nature just tears it back down.
Ornate sandcastles.
Raging and weeping,
Babel of fire and secrets
Foretells the coming
Blast from the Past:
A city in flames
Pitchforks are calling for blood
And no fire brigade
Think of today’s acts.
Would death taking them be bad?
Live the life you want.
Blast from the past (an aphorism):
Action is all we have until we die, so to avoid taking action is to decide to die early.
The authority:
Powers of good or evil
In control of what?
Blast from the past:
That which is hidden
Manufacture of the poor
Hypnotic power
In the midst of the
Fire of presence is a key
For the door of life
Blast from the Past:
A cleansing fire
Out of which will grow
The mightiest of oaks
